To be 6 again (六つにもどりたいわ)

ベッドに腰かけて夫は、鏡をみつめる妻を見ていた。というのも彼女の誕生日が近く、プレゼントに何がほしいか聞きたかったからだ。

「6 にもどりたいわ」、彼女は鏡をにらむようにしながら答えた。

さて、誕生日の朝、夫ははやく起き、ボウルいっぱいにすてきな飾りをつくって、それから六つ旗テーマパークへ妻をつれだした。それはもう、なんという日だっただろう！妻をパークの乗り物すべてに乗せた -- デス・スライダー、恐怖の壁、絶叫ジェットコースター、ありとあらゆるライドに。

五時間後、ふたりともテーマパークでふらふらになった。妻の頭はぐらぐらして、胃はひっくりかえりそうだった。そこで夫は妻をマクドナルドへつれていき、ハッピーセットにフライドポテトとチョコレートシェークをつけて注文した。

それから映画館へ行き、ポップコーンにソーダフロート、妻が大好きな M&M's を買った。なんという大冒険！

ようやく家に帰りつくと、もうくたくたになって妻は夫とベッドにたおれこんだ。

夫は満面の笑みを浮かべる妻によりかかりながら、あまやかに尋ねた。「どうだい、 6 歳に戻った気分は？」

妻の目がゆっくりと見開かれ、そして気持ちがあっという間に変わった。

「わたしは ___________________！」

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching his wife, who was looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her birthday.

"I'd like to be six again", she replied, still gazing into the mirror.

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Roller Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down. He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted.

He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, "Well Dear, what was it like being six again?"

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.

"I meant my ___________________ !"

って、アメリカの六号サイズがどのくらいなのか、よくわかんないとです。
そして最初の妻の返事は「六号に戻りたいわ」じゃないと不自然。ジョークを日本語訳するのは難しい、ていうか無理。
